The Commanders have reportedly bolstered their secondary.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Washington has inked cornerback Amik Robertson to a two-year, $16 million deal, with $9.3 million guaranteed.
The 27-year-old spent two seasons with the Lions, making a total of 14 starts while appearing in each regular season game. He logged a career-high 12 passes defended while securing one interception, and forced multiple fumbles for a second straight season.
A former fourth-round pick out of Louisiana Tech, Robertson spent four reasons with the Raiders. He is on the shorter side for an outside corner at 5-foot-9, and as our own Grant Paulsen noted, PFF ranked him 110th of 114 qualified cornerbacks last season.
