Ron Jaworski: Commanders' Jayden Daniels 'best rookie QB I have ever seen'

Ron Jaworski called Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels the best rookie quarterback he's ever seen!

"I don't want to overblow what I am going to say, but I will," Jaworski, the Eagles' HOF QB, told Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie on Tuesday's 94WIP Morning Show.

"He's the best rookie quarterback I have ever seen. I've seen a lot of them...The guy has been absolutely phenomenal. His calmness, his ability to throw the ball deep, short, his anticipation. I watch his feet, he's very calm in the pocket. He's a guy that kind of plays with a smile on his face, he's enjoying playing football. He seems to have rallied the Washington Commanders. He's really been outstanding...It's remarkable for a rookie, I've been just blown away."

Through his first 10 NFL starts, Daniels has led the Commanders to a 7-3 record throwing for 2,147 yards, nine TDs, and just two INTs while completing 68.7-percent of his passes. On the ground, Daniels has rushed for another 464 yards and four touchdowns, establishing himself as one of the game's elite dual threat quarterbacks.

DeCamara asked Jaws how the Eagles can get to Daniels in Thursday night's big Eagles-Commanders matchup at the Linc.

"Get him in the known passing situation and use the jump coverage, I think that's where every young quarterback has a hard time at the NFL level, Jaworski responded."

The Eagles have won five straight games and are now in the Super Bowl conversation once again at 7-2, but Jaworski isn't going all the way in yet just because of the competition Philadelphia has faced of late—notably in the NFC East.

"The NFC East is just a mess right now," Jaws said. "The Giants are a joke. The Cowboys are a flat out terrible football team right now. They won't compete with us for three years...They've got QB's that couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat."
