The NFL Trade Deadline passed as soon as Craig Hoffman went on the air, so as soon as the dust settled and he gave his take, he was able to get some from those elsewhere who are in the know.
And, even after reports came out that Washington ownership had a heavy hand in making sure Montez Sweat and Chase Young were traded today, ESPN's John Keim reminded that this is a re-tool, not so much a rebuild, but the team got something for sure for assets they weren't sure they could keep while still trying to make a run this year.
"This isn't a fire sale," Keim said, "and this wasn't a demand from the owner. This is a team that thinks they can still compete."
