Josh Harris buys one-of-one Jayden Daniels rookie card for $500,000

Josh Harris just invested another $500,000 in his Commanders…sort of.

Harris, while attending Fanatics Fest in New York City on Saturday Night, purchased a one-of-one 2024 Daniels Panini Prizm Black Finite rookie card, graded at 9.5 by Beckett, for $500K from Josh Roth and Jacob Ramos of Rothcards.

According to The Athletic, Harris asked Fanatics CEO Steve Rubin who had the rarest Daniels card in the room during an appearance at the event’s Trade Night. When Roth and Ramos came forward, Rubin, with an assist from Fanatics Collectibles CEO Michael Mahan, brokered the sale that netted the pair a half-million dollars – shy of the $2 million they wanted for it, but still no small potatoes – as well as a signed Daniels jersey.

“It was such an experience to be on stage with everyone. It really happened so fast. Moments like that are timeless,” Ramos told The Athletic.

Larry Holder’s expose in The Athletic revealed the card was originally found in January by Joey Carrion of NY-based sports card retailer WeTheHobby, who pulled it in a box break that cost $36. It was sold to Rothcards for ‘somewhere in the $300,000 range, and then to Harris over the weekend.

Daniels signed the card, and Harris plans to display it at Northwest Stadium this season.
