Junkies react to Raiders WR Davante Adams calling Commanders fans 'miserable'

The Washington Commanders have a lot of fans across the country, but Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams is not among them.

“The Washington Football Team, they obviously just miserable because the stadium is horrible, the city is not great at all,” Adams said. “I’m probably going to get somebody at my front door after this, but that’s just how I feel. We (are) on 'Hot Ones' right now.”

The wide receiver didn't give any reason as to why he decided to flame Commanders fans, the District and the stadium formerly known as FedEx Field while appearing on the internet talk show that involves eating increasingly spicy chicken wings.

"I don't know how much experience he's had being in D.C. other than flying in here, being shuttled off to his fancy hotel and then playing at FedEx Field," the Junkies' Cakes said on Tuesday. "I just don't know why it was such a bad experience. Why were the fans so miserable?"

On the ex-Packer, Bish said, "I mean he lived in Green Bay forever."

Of course, the stadium critique could be a fair one as it has had it's well-documented issues during the previous ownership regime and the playing surface had long been a point of contention around the league.

And, it could be fair to say that due to the two-decade long tenure of that previous owner, the fanbase was not one of the happier ones around the NFL.

"And them being 'miserable'... well, they've been following a team owned by Dan Snyder that's had no sort of success for 30 years," Cakes said. "He's probably pretty close on calling the fanbase miserable because they've put up with a lot of bad football over the last three decades here in D.C."

For JP Flaim, winning will cure all that ails the fanbase and isn't fired up because he didn't think the critique was "entirely inaccurate" about the misery level of the fans or the stadium, especially since it has been eight years since there was an above .500 season for Washington, when they went 8-7-1 in 2017. And the franchise has had just three 10-win seasons since the mid-1990s.

"I think in the entire tenure of this show," Flaim added, "we started weekends in 1996. So if you start with the weekend show, that's 28 years... they've won two playoff games" and been to the playoffs just six times.

Adams did also call out fans in New England, Buffalo and Philadelphia.
