Kevin Durant has already made it known he’s a Washington Nationals fan, thanks to a jocular statement turned viral tweet about “not caring” Aaron Judge re-signed with the Yankees…and now he may have run afoul of another fellow New York star and a ton of media in the same day?

On Monday, Durant quote-tweeted a video from ESPN’s Jenna Laine about a bizarre interaction with Bucs running back Gio Bernard, who didn’t seem to want to talk to the media after a botched fake punt in Sunday’s loss to the Bengals, captioning his tweet “Giovani handled this like a true pro.”

Well, an account titled Kayvons Burner tweeted and asked KD “LMAOOO what happened to the Commanders?” to which Durant replied with a photo of Washington's final offensive play of Sunday night’s Giants-Commanders game with a snarky comment penciled in:

That caught the attention of the actual Giants player Kayvon Thibodeaux, who threw some shade back at the Brooklyn baller and DC denizen:

Of course, that started a Nets fans vs. Giants fans war in the comments with the KD haters coming out hard with such comments as “Can you imagine that human skeleton trying to block???” and “The only thing Stick Stickley could be on the football field would be the goal posts.”

Durant had not responded to Thibodeaux as of press time, although he did have several more tweets ragging on the “entitled media," in relation to the bizarre interaction between reporters and Bernard, adding “We can survive without spoiled, entitled clickbait media…there are some good people who simply love to cover the sport.”

Happy Holidays!
