A reader writes in with surprise that Kevin Sheehan had not taken a bow for begging the Commanders to draft Kyle Hamilton – who has been playing at an All-Pro level for the Baltimore Ravens in his second season in the NFL – but that Sheehan should remember that Washington got four good players for trading back and did the right thing.
In that 2022 draft, Washington traded down from 11 to 16 with New Orleans – who took solid WR Chris Olave – before Baltimore took Hamilton with the No. 14. pick. Washington took WR Jahan Dotson at No. 16, RB Brian Robinson at No. 98 before trading No. 120 (and No. 189) to Carolin for No. 144 (QB Sam Howell) and No. 149 (TE. Cole Turner).
But... are any of these solid to good players for the Commanders?
