Sheehan: Washington embarrassed by the Giants… again

How can a team get nine sacks – five in the first quarter – and come out embarrassed? Well, just as the 2023 Commanders after their 31-19 loss to the now lowly New York Giants, who swept the season series against Washington despite starting a back-up and third-string quarterback in both wins.

Kevin Sheehan reflects on the defeat, which did have a silver lining: they are now just one loss out of getting a Top 4 pick in next year's draft. Listen to the full opening take on yet another loss in Ron Rivera's fourth year as head coach on the audio player above. "A loss," that Sheehan called "truly repulsive."

"It was an unseemly day for everyone out there."
