Washington Commanders

Kevin Sheehan very impressed by Adam Peters' Draft day demeanor in 'Commanders Log'

Every NFL team puts out some behind-the-scenes footage from moments around the season, and the NFL Draft is a frequent spot when teams love to let fans peak behind the curtain. In a recent episode of "Commanders Log," new Washington general manager Adam Peters came off as very impressive in the eyes of Kevin Sheehan.

The epsiode was called "Top of the Pile," because Dan Quinn and the Commanders are looking for players with serious competitive traits as they look to rebuild the roster from the ground up.

"When you think about Peters and where he came form," Sheehan said, "those 49ers team of the last four or five years, I mean they've just had some badass, relentless, high-motor guys."

But Sheehan's biggest takeaway from the behind-the-scenes look: "Adam Peters was by far and away – I mean it's not even close – how much more impressive he is than everybody else.

"No disrespect to anybody else... Adam Peters I think comes off as the guy with maybe the highest intellect in the room."

Sheehan added that there is "something else in just watching" the "polished" Peters in action: "I get the sense that if not the smartest guy in the room, he's clearly close to the top of the list, which is good to know. It's encouraging."
