Joe Jacoby is once again a candidate to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The Washington Redskins great was named by the Hall's Seniors Committee among the 31 semifinalists for the 2024 class.
For Kevin Sheehan, the three-time Super Bowl champion, a three-time First-team All-Pro, a four-time pro bowler who played 170 games in Washington and made 148 starts, needs has to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Along with Jacoby, including former Redskins running back Larry Brown – the 1972 NFL MVP, two-time First-team All-Pro, one-time Second-team All-Pro and four-time pro bowler – the other semifinalists are as follows: Ken Anderson, Ottis Anderson, Carl Banks, Maxie Baughan, Mark Clayton, Charlie Conerly, Roger Craig, Henry Ellard, Randy Gradishar, Lester Hayes, Chris Hinton Cecil Isbell, Billy "White Shoes" Johnson, Mike Kenn, Bob Kuechenberg, George Kunz, Albert Lewis, Jim Marshall, Clay Matthews Jr., Steve McMichael, Eddie Meador, Stanley Morgan, Tommy Nobis, Art Powell, Sterling Sharpe, Steve Tasker, Otis Taylor, Everson Walls and Al Wistert.
From this field of nominees, the committee will narrow it down to 12 candidates through to the next round of the election process, the finalists stage.
