The big news from the NFL Combine involving the Washington Commanders and the No. 2 overall pick according to The Atheltic's Ben Standig: "You got the coach, you got the GM, let's go and they're not there yet from my understanding," he said on the Kevin Sheehan Show on Monday. "It's sort of like a non-answer. Whatever speculations gonna come out of this week, they still have not made a plan for the second pick. Whether that's taking a certain player or trading in one direction or another and, frankly, I have zero issue with that in case anybody is kvetching over the fact that they haven't made call yet after they met with these quarterbacks."
So, that would be a bit of status quo and that's nothing to compain about (in case you aren't getting ready for the Purim at the end of the month and didn't know what "kvetching" means).
Standig makes one point of caution, with free agency 'unofficially' starting on Monday, March 11, the Commanders don't need to know everything about what they will do at No. 2, but they do need to have a plan. Because if they are trying to do another thing like signing a veteran quarterback or doing some kind of trade, they need to have a decision made before next Monday.
