With some 65 days until the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft there is still time for down to become up and up become down. But as of right now, the belief aroudn the league is that USC quarterback Caleb Williams will be the No. 1 overall pick.

So what would it take for the Washington Commanders to swing a deal with the Chicago Bears to move up from the No. 2 spot to guarantee they get the first crack at the prospects entering the league?


NFL Media's Ali Bhanpuri laid out this scenario with Washington sending the No. 2 overall selection plus three other picks in the 2024 draft – the No. 36 selection (second-round), No. 40 selection (second-round) and the No. 101 pick (third-round compensatory pick) – to the Bears for No. 1 overall.

Chris Russell goes over the potential trade to get the No. 1 overall pick with the Bears and doesn't like the price to move up one spot before he turns the airwaves over to Washington fans so they can have their say.
