OT Cornelius Lucas re-signs with Commanders on two-year deal

The Washington Commanders re-signed offensive tackle Cornelius Lucas to a reported two-year, $8.2 million deal on Thursday.

The Commanders have confirmed the 30-year-old tackle has re-signed but have not disclosed the terms.

Lucas, who stands at 6-foot-8, 327 pounds, originally signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas State in 2014 and has developed into a borderline starter in the eight seasons since.

He also had stints with the Rams, Saints and Bears before landing with Washington in 2020.

Lucas has started 15 of the 29 games he's played since initially signing with Washington in March 2020 and 31 of 82 career games played.
