The Washington Football Team has begun the purge of its roster, needing to trim down to 53 players by 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

Washington needs to release 17 players this afternoon to reach that target. A few surprise names have already crossed the wire.

C Keith Ismael (per Ben Standig) — Ismael was a fifth-round pick by Washington in 2020.
