The Washington Commanders have an agreement in place with former Jaguars guard Andrew Norwell.
Norwell, 30, is a big-bodied guard at 6-foot-6, 325 pounds and coming off a huge deal with Jacksonville (5 years, $66.5 million).
Norwell will be a natural replacement for Ereck Flowers, whom Washington released on Wednesday, saving roughly $10 million.
Prior to his time in Jacksonville (2018-21), Norwell spent his first four NFL seasons with Ron Rivera and the Carolina Panthers, first signing as an undrafted free agent (Ohio State) in 2014. He developed into a First-Team All-Pro by his final year in Carolina in 2017.
