The Washington Football Team will get a first-hand look at North Dakota State quarterback Trey Lance.
According to Albert Breer of The MMQB, Washington is among at least nine teams that will attend Lance's pro day in Fargo on Friday.
The Football Team is sending its top brass, general manager Martin Mayhew and offensive coordinator Scott Turner.
Lance played just one game in 2020 before the Football Championship Division (FCS) rescheduled the remainder of its season for spring, at which point the 20-year-old announced he would forgo his remaining collegiate career and declare for the NFL Draft.
In 2019, Lance completed 66.9 percent of his passes for 2,786 yards with 28 passing touchdowns and no interceptions. He also rushed for an additional 1,100 yards and 14 touchdowns. The Bison went 16-0 and won the FCS national championship.
Washington holds the 19th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and appears to be keeping all options on the table at the quarterback position. Since he's such an unknown quantity with a limited sample size, Lance has been projected all over the first round.
