The Washington Football Team is adding the son of a Hall of Famer to its front office.

The Football Team announced the hiring of Chris Polian as director of pro personnel on Monday after he had spent seven seasons from 2013-19 with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the same role.

Polian is the son of Bill Polian, the architect of the Indianapolis Colts from 1998-2011 and general manager of the Buffalo Bills from 1986-92.

Chris Polian worked under his father in Indianapolis as director of pro scouting and replaced him as the GM from 2009-11 when Bill was team president.

Both Polians were fired after a 2-14 season in 2011 in which Peyton Manning sat out the entirety due to neck surgery. Chris spent the following season as an executive scout with the Atlanta Falcons before he was hired by Jacksonville.

Chris Polian is replacing Eric Stokes, who was promoted to senior director of player personnel.

Polian joins several new experienced front office hires, which include GM Martin Mayhew and executive vice president Marty Hurney.
