Kyle Kuzma has officially re-signed with the Washington Wizards and he spoke to the media at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas and Craig Hoffman was encouraged by some of the things he said, and new Wizarrd Jordan Poole also spoke after the trade with the Golden State Warriors became official.
To talk about all that (and Kuzma's reverse guarantee of we're not gonna win a championship this year), where the team is headed in the short and long term, and how the Wizards' first-round pick Bilal Coulibaly has fared and impressed so far at Summer League, Hoffman was joined by Chase Hughes.
“I’m very excited to be back in Washington. It is truly an honor to have belief from Ted, Michael, Will and the entire organization to help lead the franchise into the future,” Kuzma said in a team statement when the deal became official. “I’m dedicated to continuing to develop my skills on the court while helping to add value to the vision of the team’s direction moving forward.”
Wizards General Manager Will Dawkins added: “We spent time with Kyle over the last several weeks and were impressed with his commitment to his craft, desire to take on a leadership role, and passion for representing the Wizards. His versatility, resilience, and drive are all core characteristics of the type of player we want as part of our organization.”
