We’ve got a Shams Bomb less than 48 hours before the NBA Draft: Kristaps Porzingis may be the next Wizard headed out of town.

Shams Charania Tweeted Wednesday afternoon that the Wizards, Celtics, and Clippers are in “strong talks” on a three-way deal that would send Kristaps Porzingis to Boston, the sides “still working through details and Porzingis’ $36 million player option.”

Per Shams, Boston would send Malcolm Brogdon to L.A. and the Wizards would get Marcus Morris from the Clippers and “draft compensation,” which would officially end the era of the “Big 3” in DC once Bradley Beal’s deal to Phoenix becomes official.

Update: Charania has added that it is expected the Wizards will get the 30th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft that LA got from Milwaukee via Houston when John Wall went to the Rockets. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski added that Washington will also get Amir Coffey from the Clippers and the "sides still have more work to do on an agreement."

Kyle Kuzma has already declined his player option, making him a free agent, and the framework is in place for Beal to head to Phoenix for two players and multiple picks – with one of those players, Chris Paul, also possibly being flipped to a contender.

Salaries could be an issue, as Brogdon is scheduled to make $22.5 million in each of the next two years, while Morris, who is in the last year of his deal, is set to make just $17.116 million this season – and the Clippers are already well above the luxury tax cap rate.
