Marvin Bagley III is back at Cap One, as Shams Charania reports that the forward has agreed to a one-year deal to return to the Washington Wizards.
Bagley, 26, spent about a calendar year in DC in 2024-25, acquired at the 2024 trade deadline and then sent to Memphis at last year’s trade deadline in the deal that brought back Marcus Smart. He appeared in 43 games in that stretch, averaging 9.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per contest.
He played just 12 games with Memphis, averaging 3.6 points per game.
Bagley’s return comes just a couple days after the Wiz dealt Kelly Olynyk, whom they had also just acquired in the last week, to the Spurs, so they once again have a veteran frontcourt presence on a one-year deal.
