Big news was announced today as the Miami Dolphins had announced that they were going to allow fans to attend the team's home opener against the Buffalo Bills on September 20th.
"It's not surprising" said Miami Herald writer and Radio.com Insider Armando Salguero when he joined Zaslow and Amber today after Vice Chairman, President and CEO of the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium Tom Garfinkle spoke to the media about the Dolphins allowing fans into the stadium for the home opener at a limited capacity. "Obviously it's not what everybody wants, because everyone wants there to be 65,000 people in there".
Salguero has been at the Dolphins training camp the past week and has had a chance to watch rookie QB Tua Tagovailoa practice and dealt some criticism when speaking on Tagovailoa's first few practices. "He should give you a spark, a glimpse of greatness", said Salguero, "Give me a movement that suggests on why he was the number 5 overall draft pick and that has been lacking". "He's not out there playing against first team guys, he's a first round pick, he should be head and shoulders above everybody, he should tilt the field in his favor."
Zaslow asked Salguero on if Josh Rosen is ever being considered as the number 1 QB on this Dolphins team. "I don't think that Josh will ever be the starter for the Miami Dolphins unless something terrible happens" Salguero said, "But there is a competion for number 2 and that's between Rosen and Tua, and it's touch and go at this point"
