Hurricanes fans wanted Mario. Hurricanes fans got Mario.

The former Columbus High School grad, and Hurricanes offensive lineman has returned home to Miami and was introduced Tuesday at Coral Gables as the new Head Football Coach for the University of Miami.

Cristobal said he was honored to be back at Miami and said he felt a “tremendous amount of gratitude” for the opportunity. But it was his delivery when addressing the work ethic and commitment it will take to get Miami back on top that stood out Tuesday.

“I feel more driven, more motivated than ever. I can’t wait to get to work... Let’s get this thing right. Let’s take this thing to a new level.”

Hoch and Crowder listened to several cuts from the Cristobal press conference on Tuesday and discussed his comments on recruiting in Miami and more. Listen here:
