Marlins Manager Don Mattingly spoke to the media on the eve on Spring Training workouts. He believes the Marlins are going to be in a dogfight in the NL East and has taken notice of most the experts picking them to finish in last place. Mattingly also believes Jorge Alfaro should have a bounce back season and expects to see more improvement from Brian Anderson and Miguel Rojas. The Marlins skipper sees a competition at 2nd base between Jazz Chisholm and Isan Díaz. He also believes a lot of their top prospects will benefit from getting a taste of major league life last season.
