Last week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash was joined in studio by David Fike, President & CEO of Leadership Maryland to talk about their mission and their Executive Program and Emerging Leader Program.
Leadership Maryland is a statewide nonprofit offering professional development programs dedicated to building a better Maryland by harnessing the strength of its business and community leaders. Their mission is to connect, empower and inspire a diverse community of leaders to drive change within the state. Leadership Maryland's flagship program, the Executive Program, focuses on senior/executive-level leaders with extensive professional backgrounds who have made significant contributions to their organizations, industries and communities. Each year, approximately 53 diverse leaders from around the state are selected by a group of their peers to to participate in an 8 month educational program. Class members converge monthly in 5 different regions of the state for a series of 2-day sessions.
Their Emerging Leader Program started in 2024 and brings together a class of 30-40 rising stars from our state's public, private, government, education and nonprofit sectors and gives them the skills they need to advance their careers. Selected participants will complete a 6-month program of monthly learning sessions guided by a facilitator and leaders from various industries around the state.
Applications for the 2027 class year for both programs opened September 2nd and close October 31st.
