This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash was joined in studio by Kirk Sykes, Head of School at the SEED School of Maryland, to talk about their Open House on Sunday, October 19th from 4-6pm for prospective families of rising 6th and 9th-grade students. The SEED mission is to present underserved students from across the state with an extraordinary opportunity to receive a free education that prepares them for success in college and beyond.
The SEED School of Maryland is the state's only tuition-free college-preparatory boarding school, serving students from across Maryland. They provide a unique 24-hour learning environment designed for motivated scholars who live and learn on campus throughout the week. Admission is open to incoming 6th and 9th graders through a public school lottery. SEED has a rolling admissions process and is currently accepting applications. Entry points are in 6th and 9th grade. Students from all over Maryland are eligible to apply.
