In case you don’t remember, back in January, Natalie Portman ran into Rihanna at an event during Paris Fashion Week. Both ladies fan-girled over one another, as they should, and RiRi called Portman “one of the hottest b****es in Hollywood forever,” and their interaction went appropriately viral.

Looking back at the moment during her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Natalie opened up about just how much that compliment meant to her, as she was going through a divorce at the time.

“It was… an amazing experience for me,” she told Jimmy during Monday night’s episode. “I think every woman going through a divorce should get to have Rihanna say to her that she is a bad b****. It was exactly what I needed.”

“It was a formative moment in my life,” Portman added, who’s reference to her divorce was the first public comment from the actress on the matter. Natalie and choreographer Benjamin Millepied, with whom she shares two children with, finalized their divorce in March after more than a decade of marriage.

Natalie also talked about the unforgettable run-in with RiRi during a recent appearance on the Today show. Sharing the same sentiment, saying “Listen, it’s the confidence boost of a lifetime,” to hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager at the time. “It was really exactly what I needed at that moment in my life and she served it to me, and I’m forever grateful. I love her.”

Same. Natalie. Same.
