Imagine yourself out for a nice little nature run. It's a beautiful fall day and you're just enjoying your day. That's when you come across what you think is a couple of cute little bobcat cubs, and you find out the hard way that it's not that at all. In fact, it's mountain lion cubs and mother cougar isn't happy.
That's what happened when Kyle Burgess was on a run about 2 miles up Slate Canyon in Utah. Burgess pulled out his phone and started recording. When the mother came into view, the video gets intense.
That cougar was going to protect her babies at all costs.
At the first of several charges at Burgess his adrenaline took over. He let out a stream of profanities while he backed away. To be honest, the first part of the video sounds like Morse Code now.
She had her eyes locked on him, and stalked him as he retreated backward for a full six minutes.
