Dolly Parton is bringing another holiday movie to NBC this season, and she’s landed a star-studded cast for it. In addition to Dolly, the film, “Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas,” will star Tom Everett Scott, Ana Gasteyer and Angel Parker, with big names like Willie Nelson, Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus, Jimmie Allen, Jimmy Fallon and Zach Williams also set to appear.
The movie, described as a “modern-day movie musical,” follows the making of a TV special. An apparent twist on “A Christmas Carol,” the film will have Dolly “taking a private journey into her past, guided by the mysterious appearances of her personal Three Wise Mountain Men.” It inspires Dolly to show “the world that the real magic of Christmas lies in the hearts of the children we all once were, the realization that Christmas is about the people we share it with, and how her faith remains the common thread between Christmases past, present, and future.”
