Fifteen years of music, memories, and chart-topping hits all come down to this. Scotty McCreery is celebrating a decade and a half in the spotlight with his new project, 15.

He joined The Morning Show to talk about re-recording his iconic Idol audition song with Josh Turner, covering country royalty, and why life looks a whole lot different than it did in 2011.

"It's a different project for us. We're reflecting on 15 years of being in the business and making music."

McCreery released a retrospective album 15 with 4 new songs, including "Your Man" with Josh Turner.

Reflecting on his teenage self, Scotty looks back at his early career with nothing but gratitude—and a few crucial words of wisdom.

"There's a lot. I'd tell him to buckle up and I think the one keyword I'd tell him is to have some patience, you know," said McCreery. "I think I wanted things to just go, go, go right out of the gate. And, you know, life takes time, you know, had some things to learn."

While the tracklist is packed, one song still holds the top spot in his heart.

" 'Five More Minutes' is my favorite song I’ve written," Scotty shared on-air.

The project also features a massive full-circle moment: a brand-new version of "Your Man" featuring Josh Turner—the exact song Scotty famously used for his American Idol audition.

"It's just kind of a full-circle moment from the first time we all met on Idol when I sang 'Baby Lock Them Doors' to now doing it with him, who's a buddy of mine now," Scotty said. "Pretty cool."

As a bonus for fans, the album includes a cover of Conway Twitty's "Hello Darlin'"—and yes, Scotty proved he's still got that signature, deep-bass voice to pull it off perfectly!

When asked on air which task takes the crown as the ultimate challenge, Scotty laughed and admitted it completely depends on the evening's menu.

"I enjoy both," McCreery joked. "And it depends on if they had dessert after dinner or not! If it’s ice cream time, I would say currently, maybe getting the kids to bed is probably hardest."

Scotty posted to Facebook about the 15 year milestone.

You can join him live on Facebook at 7pm CT on 7/17 to celebrate this new album and "answer some questions, maybe play a little music, and just hang out for a bit."
