Imagine your favorite ice cream shop having to close, because their largest supplier has chosen national business over local ... that's exactly what happened to Connie Brown and her The Brown Cow ice cream business in Forest Park!
She's a single mom of 3, operating her dream business for the last 16 years. When she found out recently that her manufacturer of her secret recipes was dumping her for larger accounts, her son set up a GoFundMe campaign to help his Mom get set up to make her own ice cream.
Their $50,000 goal? Their fans helped them reach it in less than 2 days!
Brown told WGN-TV, “I’ve gone from devastation to complete awe to excited; I don’t even have words to describe how I feel about the incredible generosity,” Brown said. “People have given from $5 to $1000 to make this happen and I promise to give it back ten fold.”
We want to try ALL of her ice cream now!
