Turns out that Maren Morris has been a huge fan of Hozier for years and was waiting for the right song to pair up with and record.
In a released statement, Maren said, "Hozier’s soul and vulnerability is so arresting and fit so well with the foundational theme of my song 'The Bones.' I feel so grateful to have him on it."
