10-year-old Chelsea Phaire has been wanting to start a charity since she was 7 years old where she could help bring the joy of art to at-risk kids in shelters and foster care by donating art kits packed with supplies.

On her 10th birthday in August 2019, her parents decided then was the best time to create Chelsea's Charity and begin collecting donations. For her birthday that year all Chelsea asked for was art supplies instead of birthday gifts.

With her birthday donations she put together several art supply kits equipped with crayons, gel pens, coloring books, paper, and colored pencils. She donated that first batch to many children in need and then began collecting more donations through her Amazon wishlist

Through her efforts, Chelsea has donated hundreds upon hundreds of art kits to homeless shelters, women’s shelters, and schools.

While the pandemic had forced Chelsea to stop making the donation drop-offs in person, she has still managed to give away over 1,500 art kits while in quarantine.

Her dream is to give the gift of art to as many kids as she can to help them cope with stress and hopefully find peace within themselves. She is one remarkable 6th grader. #GoodVibes
