Ten years to the day after the Blackhawks won the 2010 Stanley Cup,16 members of the championship team got back together for a virtual Players Reunion, presented by NBC Sports Chicago.
Eddie Olcyzk was the moderator of the video conference call while the team discussed that amazing 2010 season and looked back on their favorite moments fondly.
He asked each member to give a brief description of why the team was so successful. Most players had the same response: depth. From top to bottom their roster was stacked and most athletes could play more than one position.
They also talked about the team's competitive nature, closeness, and determination to win the Stanley Cup.
Even 10 years later after that dream team disbanded due to salary constraints, the players are still close with each other and will always have a fondness for that particular season.
