Girl Scouts of USA announced a brand new cookie flavor that will be available starting in January of 2021...
And the flavor is...French Toast, baby!!
The new cookie will be called "Toast-Yay," which is a play on words for 'toasty' which is the warm feeling the creators hope you will get while indulging in the new dessert.
The cookies are shaped like mini french toast slices and dripped in rich icing.
Along with the new flavor, the classic cookies such as Thin Mints, Lemonades, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-si-sos, Shortbread, Caramel Chocolate Chip, and Girl Scout s' mores will also be available next year.
While the COVID-19 pandemic hit right in the middle of cookie-selling season, Girl Scouts became creative and began selling them virtually, while also donating them to frontline workers.
It is unknown how the 2021 season will play out, but some scouts have already created 'virtual cookie booths' on social media and are planning socially distanced deliveries. Not even a pandemic can stop us from receiving our favorite Girl Scout cookies while also trying the new French Toast flavor!
