Earlier in 2020, Brad Paisley and his wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley teamed up with Belmont University to create 'The Store' a food bank set up like a supermarket to serve both fresh and nonperishable groceries to people in need for one year.
Paisley explained that it was a grocery store with dignity for those that have unfortunately fallen on hard times.
The Store has remained open to serve the community throughout the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic encouraging patrons to shop for free produce, but in light of recent news, Paisley announced that it will begin 'mobilizing.'
With a group of volunteers, The Store will be mobilizing and delivering one week's worth of groceries to the elderly that cannot or should not be shopping out on their own. The CDC has said many times that they are the ones at higher risk of contracting the virus and becoming ill. The team has a list of seniors they will be dropping off supplies to while ensuring to practice safe and healthy methods.
Paisley posted the news on Instgram while also urging his followers to notify him if they know of an elderly person that should be added to the list.
The Store will carry out delieveries while also remaining open for those that are able to shop on their own.
It's awesome to see country artists using their platforms and resources to help others amid this outbreak.
