The song is a love letter to his baby daughter, Presley, and his wife, Taylor.
Young knew he would write songs about his children, but he was surprised the inspiration came even before his daughter was born. He wrote it when Taylor was only 6 months along and the heartbeat sound, in the beginning, is the actual sound the Youngs heard at their first ultrasound, which made the song even more meaningful for the couple.
The single is a message to baby Presley about her mom and how no matter what, both parents will be there to help nurture and encourage her.
With his new role as a father, Young said the song was an obvious choice to release as the first single to introduce this new chapter of music.
