Meet Winslow, the 7-year-old tabby cat that has turned into such a little gentleman as he learned to play a tiny toy piano to signal to his owner when it was dinner time.
And you thought your pet was smart!
Before learning the new skill, Winslow's owner Kate Nyx said the cat used to just whine or scream whenever he wanted attention. Nyk, who is a trained musician, decided to find a way to correct his whiny behavior. Since Winslow showed an interest in the tiny piano, Nyk placed the toy by his food bowl and then began teaching the cat to play the instrument by moving his paws up and down on the keys.
After some weeks of teaching and encouraging him to move his paws across the piano, Winslow will now hit the keys whenever he wants to eat, needs his litter scooped, or just requires a little attention.
Now there are regular piano shows that occur right on Nyk's kitchen floor, which are great for her own enjoyment. Who knew you could train a cat like that?
