Chicago Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward is giving back to his second home and the city he has lived in for four years.
He announced yesterday that he will be donating $200,000 to COVID-19 relief efforts.
Heyward is donating half the money to M.A.S.K (Mothers Against Senseless Killings), an organization that is gathering food and supplies for Chicago families affected by the virus.
The other $100,000 will go to the Greater Chicago Food Depository, a food bank that helps give meals and hope to families in the Chicagoland area.
Heyward is the epitome of a true Chicago athlete, always looking out for his community.
