If you never had a chance to grab those coveted Hamilton tickets and see the record-breaking musical on Broadway or at the CIBC Theatre in Chicago, do not worry because the film version of the play is coming to Disney + on July 3rd.

The highly anticipated first look trailer was just released today and fans cannot wait to see the whole movie in just a few weeks!

The film adaptation of the musical was filmed in New York City's Richard Rodgers Theatre in June 2016 and the movie features Lin-Manuel Miranda as Alexander Hamilton, Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, Renée Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler, Jonathan Groff as King George, Christopher Jackson as George Washington, Jasmine Cephas Jones as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds, Leslie Odom, Jr. as Aaron Burr, Okieriete Onaodowan as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, Anthony Ramos as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton, and Phillipa Soo as Eliza Hamilton

The musical follows the life of one of our founding fathers, Alexander Hamilton, and the production ended up winning 11 Tonys, a Grammy, and a Pulitzer Prize in 2016.

The film was originally set to hit theaters in 2021, but due to the unprecedented times we are currently living in, Disney decided to release it on their streaming platform months earlier to help boost the world's morale.
