You may have to wait to say "I do," but you do not have to wait for pizza.
Unfortunately, many couples had to postpone or even cancel their wedding plans due to the novel coronavirus, but one pizza company decided to step in and help make the celebrations worthwhile.
Domino's created the 'Raincheck' wedding registry in hopes to send food bundles as a mini celebration to couples whose plans were changed.
The bride and groom can sign up for the registry online, like any other department store registry, and then they will receive a special URL that they can send to friends and family who can then choose meal bundles for the lovebirds.
The registry includes multiple pre-selected bundles containing pizza, sides, sandwiches, and desserts that can all be selected by the couple. Friends and family members can then purchase the packages and the couple will receive it via Domino's e-gift card.
All the packages have 'cheesy' names such as "Small Wedding Now, Big Celebration Later," "Virtual Bachelor Party," and "Bridal Shower, but Make it Virtual."
Domino's Kate Trumball, vice president of advertising, said in a recent press release, "With so many weddings being postponed or scaled back in 2020, we knew those couples might need some extra love from those around them, because everything is better with pizza!"
