Domino's Pizza Makes Largest Ever Donation for Family Patient Facility at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Domino's Pizza, Donation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Largest Donor Commitment

Domino's Pizza made St. Jude Children's Research Hospital its national charity partner in 2004 and has since then donated millions of dollars to the fight against childhood cancer.

This year though, the pizza chain pledged one of the largest donor commitments ever to the hospital to help build a new family patient facility because one of the greatest aspects of St. Jude is that families can stay directly on campus and will never receive a bill for treatment.

Domino's donated $100 million and is committed to raising the money over the next 10 years!

The money is going directly to the construction of The Domino's Village (named after the company's historic pledge) which will include 140 fully-furnished apartments, coming in one, two, or three bedrooms that are specifically designed to accommodate every family's different lengths of stay at the hospital's Memphis campus.

Richard Shadyac, president and CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising arm of St. Jude said in a statement, "The Domino’s Village will provide a home-away-from-home for the thousands of kids and families who come to St. Jude from around the world."

The new housing facility is anticipated to open for families in the spring of 2023 as construction has already begun.
