For the First Time Ever the ACM Awards Will be Held in Nashville at 3 Different Locations

ACM Awards, Country Music, Nashville, Award Show
Kevin Winter

The ACM Awards that was originally scheduled for April 5th has been moved to September 16th, but the date is not the only thing that has changed, the venue has changed as well!

Since 2003, the award show has been broadcast from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, except in 2015 when the anniversary show was held in Arlington, Texas. This year, though, the show has been moved to music city itself, Nashville, Tennessee!

For the first time ever, the show will be broadcast from three separate locations!

According to a press release, the 55th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will broadcast from three iconic Nashville venues: the Ryman Auditorium, the Grand Ole Opry House, and the Bluebird Cafe.

The press released noted that all state and local health guidelines will be followed and guide the academy's plan for production. At this time it has not been said if fans will be allowed to attend the show in person. It would all depend on where we are as a country with the virus before that decision will be made.

The 2020 ACM Awards hosted by Keith Urban will air live on CBS at 7 PM CT on Wednesday, September 16th.
