Healthcare workers including doctors, nurses, first responders, and hospital workers are eligible to receive 50 cents off per gallon at BP and Amoco stations amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a press released BP said, "Thank you for being on the front lines and keeping our communities healthy and safe. We are honored to be supporting you and helping you get where you need to go."
There are a few steps, though, that healthcare professionals need to follow in order to claim their discount.
They first need to verify their status though ID.me, an online authentication and security service.
Then when at the gas pump they need to follow these steps:
1. Press cancel2. Enter your discount code3. Press Enter4. Follow prompts on screen
The offer codes can be used at participating BP and Amoco gas stations. Healthcare workers can claim their discount codes through April 30 and are valid until June 30.
