Erica Carpenter, a Milwaukee area healthcare worker, had been training for months to run her first marathon and was very disappointed when the event had been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
BUT Carpenter did not let the COVID-19 outbreak stop her from pursuing her goals!
She decided to create her own marathon route and run it alone to prove to herself that she could do it!
When her neighbors heard about her decision, they lined the streets with signs to cheer her on and show their support.
