High School Musical Cast Will Reunite For Disney Singalong Special

All our childhood dreams are coming true! The High School Musical cast will reunite for ABC's "Disney Family Singalong" TV Special airing on April 16th. 
The magical one-hour event will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest this Thursday (4/16) at 7 pm CT and feature some of your favorite stars: John Stamos, Christina Aguilera, Kristin Chenoweth, Michael Buble, Thomas Rhett, Little Big Town, and the High School Musical cast. 
An animated character will guide viewers to follow along with the on-screen song lyrics from classic Disney movies such as Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, and more modern films such as Frozen and Moana. 

The special will be dedicated to Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization that is helping stock food banks around the country during the COVID-19 pandemic.

What is sure to be one of the many highlights from the special will be the High School Musical cast reuniting for a special at-home performance of the movie's hit song "We're All In This Together" which has also become a slogan/anthem for the pandemic. 

You'll see Vanessa Hudgens (Gabriella Montez), Ashley Tisdale (Sharpay Evans), Corbin Bleu (Chad Danforth), Monique Coleman (Taylor McKessey), Lucas Grabeel (Ryan Evans) and the star basketball player and everyone's first teenage crush Zac Efron as Troy Bolton come together for a show-stopping performance. 

According to the movie's director and choreographer, Kenny Ortega, the entire cast jumped at the opportunity to come together for the TV special. The cast is ready to lift the spirits of all the viewers joining the broadcast!

The idea to include the popular cast came after Ashley Tisdale posted a Tik Tok video of her doing the iconic "We're All In This Together" dance. She included the caption "If you need to work out while on #selfquarantine try this -- hopefully this will brighten your day a little!"
