With COVID-19 canceling many large events including graduations, many high schools have had to come up with creative ceremonies such as drive-by graduations, or receiving diplomas on jet skis, but not until now have we seen a high school celebrate on a ski lift 2,000 feet in the air.

But that is exactly how Kennett High in New Hampshire celebrated the Class of 2020!

In a private ceremony, all seniors graduated at Cranmore Mountain in North Conway, New Hampshire.

Safety and social distancing guidelines were followed as students and their parents went up in the ski lift and then received their diplomas at the base of the mountain.

The principal was very excited about the ceremony because most students expected a virtual one, but with the help of the school staff, they were able to pull off an in-person celebration on a mountain!

Many seniors agreed riding a ski lift was way cooler than walking across a regular graduation stage.
