To Help Get You in the 'Back to School' Mindset, Kane Brown Reads His Favorite Book

School will look a lot different this year and whether you are gearing up for in-person or remote learning, country superstar Kane Brown wants to help you prepare for going back to school.

He sat down with us to read an excerpt from his favorite book, My Father's Dragon

The very popular children's book follows the story of a young boy as he sets out on a wild quest to help rescue a baby dragon.

This would be a perfect book to read with your children, just as Brown mentioned at the end because it is beloved by teachers, parents, and kids alike due to its fantastic adventure and teachable themes woven throughout of both bravery and determination.

Many kids feel nervous at the start of a new school year, even during a non-pandemic one, so to help ease their anxiety, try reading with them either before bed or during the day to help them get back in the educational mindset.

Here is a list of great children's books to read together:

  • Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
  • Amelia Bedelia
  • Because of Winn Dixie

  • Charlotte's Web

When he is not participating in our virtual storytime, Brown is busy releasing hit after hit! His brand new EP, Mixtape Volume 1, just came out last week and features his current single 'Cool Again,' as well as the remixed version with rapper Nelly, and collaborations with John Legend, Khalid, and Swae Lee.

The new album also features his empowering message for unity and love in 'Worldwide Beautiful.'
