Maybe new isn't always better? Kentucky Fried Chicken just announced the fast-food company is replacing its famous potato wedges with a different side and fans of the chain are not taking the news very well.

For the first time in its 60 year history, KFC will be selling french fries in the United States. The potato wedges will be replaced by 'Secret Recipe Fries' that are seasoned with a secret blend of herbs and spices and fried to crispy perfection just like their famous chicken.

The KFC website claims that the fries are "unrivaled in flavor."

The company tested out the secret recipe fries last year and the response was so overwhelmingly positive that the chain has decided to replace the potato wedges with them.

While the feedback during the testing period was positive, wedge lovers are very upset with the decision and some have even tweeted/commented on the company's social media begging them to bring them back. People are calling them the "most legendary side" in all of fast-food history.

There is even a Change.org petition to bring back the beloved wedges.
