COVID-19 has greatly impacted many holiday traditions this year such as the annual Chriskindlemarket that is going virtual for the first time ever, but Macy's will not let it take over their traditions.

The department store will still be decorating all its beautiful windows down Michigan Avenue AND opening the Walnut Room for guests to divulge in a delicious holiday meal.

The iconic Walnut Room featuring the 113th annual Great Tree will officially reopen on November 7th and stay open through the new year on January 3, 2021. Guests will have to make reservations in advance as well as putting down a $19.95 deposit for the meal. All three-course holiday meals this year will be pre-fixed and cost $49.95 per plate. The dining room will follow strict CDC guidelines, all tables will be adequately spaced out, all high traffic areas will go through an intense cleaning process, and guests are required to wear masks when not actively eating or drinking.

Those who wish to dine at the holiday-themed restaurant can begin making reservations on Open Table as soon as Friday, October 9th.

This year Macy's is also offering a carry-out option, that can feed anywhere from 4-6 people for $95. The family kit offers three meal options and desserts and wine are also available for purchase at an additional cost.

Even though there will be some new policies and procedures in place, it is awesome that The Walnut Room is reopening for those wanting to make some Christmas memories while enjoying some amazing meals!
