High school reunions can be daunting and nerve-wracking. Not many people want to revisit those hallways and all the memories that come with being an awkward teenager trying to figure out the world, BUT I think we can all agree that this particular high school reunion is one we are actually super stoked about!

The iconic Mean Girls cast cam together on Zoom for a can't miss reunion and catch up to talk about their film that has made a lasting impression on pop culture. Katie Couric, dressed as Amy Poehler's "cool mom" character, pink Juicy sweatshirt and all, hosted the reunion on "Mean Girls Day" (October 3rd) and the entire cast including writer Tina Fey who also played Ms. Norbury, Lindsay Lohan (Cady Heron), Rachel McAdams (Regina George), Amanda Seyfried (Karen Smith), Lacey Chabert (Gretchen Wieners), Jonathan Bennett (Aaron Samuels), Lizzy Caplan (Janis Ian), Daniel Franzese (Damian Leigh), Tim Meadows (Mr. Duvall), Rajiv Surendra (Kevin Gnapoor), and Ana Gasteyer (Betsy Heron) was on the video call ready to discuss their favorite moments and the impact the movie has had on multiple generations.

The reunion came together thanks to Fey and Couric's partnership with the nonpartisan organization HeadCount, which encourages young people to register to vote. The two released a video promising a "grool" surprise if 5,000 people used the link to register and keeping with their promise, Couric uploaded the entire reunion video to her Instagram after their goal was achieved. The cast encouraged everyone to go out and vote on November 3rd!

The movie has definitely taken on a life of its own that even the cast did not even see coming. Its famous lines have permeated our culture's slang and created an entire national holiday!

Told you, this is one reunion we were looking forward to!
